Giving has been an essential part of a life of faith from the very beginning. In both the Old and New Testaments we hear the call to be generous. The direction is simple: we are called to care for those in any need, and we are called to support the ministry of the Gospel. It is also clear that we are called to give in proportion to what we have been given by God. Some can give only modest gifts, and others can give large gifts.
