Are you with me
By Michael

The first two days at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly have been fun to say the least. I left Rochester at 4:30am to fly out via the Minneapolis airport. I arrived, expecting to know no one. But, just by luck, Larry Iverson, Linda Gunderson and Deborah Ann Norrie (who all work in our synod office) greeted me there. We made it to Pittsburgh! Fast forward to Monday: I woke up quickly and headed down two blocks to the convention center to register. Then Larry Iverson and I took a taxi over to the national Aviary and looked at birds. Now to the good part: I was forced to sit through a two-hour “How to use your iPad session”. I was glad to be informed. The whole first day as Presiding Bishop Hanson was asking “Are you with me”, we were right on track. Then we headed into our first Plenary Session, where we discussed and amendment how to vote, properly folding our ballots! Finally we broke for dinner and I headed out to go salsa dancing with some other young adults.
